Clean Energy Workforce Training Program

The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District has funding available to California employers, companies, and businesses that wish to provide green/sustainability training to their employees.  This funding comes from a Clean Energy Workforce Training Program (CEWTP) grant that is administered by the Employment Training Panel (ETP) of California.

In general, the Employer must meet the following criteria in order to be reimbursed for this training:

  • Green Leaf Company/Employer must complete the Employment Training Panel Application (Employer instructions follow the Application form).

  • Training must be a minimum of 8 hours, and cannot exceed 200 hours per employee.

  • Employee must have worked for 90 days prior to the training, and must be retained for 90 days following the training.

  • Employee must work full-time with wages reported in California.

  • Employee must earn at least $15.00 per hour (i.e. if Employer is located in Alameda County). Health benefits may be included in wages.

  • Training is reimbursed at one of the following rates:
    1. Companies/Employers with more than 100 employees will be reimbursed
      at $15.66 per training hour, per employee.
    2. Companies/Employers with less than 100 employees will be reimbursed
      at $22.62 per training hour, per employee.
    3. Online training will be reimbursed at $6.96 per training hour, per employee.
